Crescent City uses a 10.38 oz marine water repellentant and mildew resistant canvas. We make all of our tents from US canvas suppliers. All tents are made by Crescent City Sutler. Please note that ropes, poles, and stakes are NOT included with tents.

Shelter or "Dog" Tent

Most common tent used by enlisted men, each carrying half a tent. In camp soldiers would button two together and pitch them over a line slung between two muskets with bayonets fixed. Price per half.

Wedge or "A" Tent

U.S. and C.S. usage. The A shaped tent saw service in virtually every campaign of the early 1800’s. This is the basic shelter of the Mexican War period. At the time of the Civil War, it was in general use and from photographic evidence, continued to be used throughout the period. We offer this tent made of the finest heavy tent canvas. It is designed for many years of service. Water repellent and mildew resistant. Comes with sod cloth.

Wall Tent

This tent was known as the small hospital tent and saw quite a bit of service in other capacities. Tents of this type can be used as an officer’s tent, guard’s tent, storage tent and hospital tent. We offer this tent in a 10.38 oz. canvas that is water repellent and mildew resistant. Comes with sod cloth. Dimensions are 7’ tall, 10’ wide, 12’ long.
